When we go to bed anxious and wake up the next morning in fear, we are living without God’s blessing. The blessing of God changes everything! And all we have to do to receive it is ask. Born-again believers can wake up each day expecting God’s blessing—so long as we are walking in His love and light. Let's live under God's blessing today by repenting of our sins and following the Lord's leading!

Isn’t it great to hear the words “I forgive you”? We all want people to accept our apologies. Yet sometimes we’re wary of handing out that same forgiveness to someone else. But if we hold onto unforgiveness toward others or refuse to apologize for something, our prayers are hindered! Today we can make things right with God and others by choosing to forgive.

What is the best way to learn about prayer? It’s not by studying or theorizing—it’s by praying! God doesn’t just hear our prayers; He answers them! Let’s take our requests—from the smallest concern to the biggest, most impossible needs—and pray to the One who cares and answers.

Words can really sting. That old saying “Sticks and stones may break my bones, but words will never hurt me” is such a lie! People are hurt every day by words. When someone stings us with cruel words, the best thing we can do is take our pain to Jesus. He has the salve to heal our hurts. We can step back, calm down, and know that God will fix it.

Why do so many of us hesitate to lift our hands to God? In both the Old and New Testaments, the Lord tells us to lift up our hands in praise and worship to Him. We have so many reasons to thank the Lord every single day. Let’s raise our hands and voices to praise His holy name today! What a blessing it is to meaningfully worship our God.

Prayer from the heart is more effective than prayers from the head. When we pour out our hearts in prayer—laying everything before the Lord, sometimes crying or saying nothing at all—the Holy Spirit intercedes on our behalf. What a blessing! When we don’t know what or how to pray, we can let our hearts take the lead. God understands.

Many of us have lost the sensitive spirit we had when we were younger Christians. Some call that maturing, yet we’re more depressed than ever! The joy of the Lord is our strength, and we must praise Him daily for it! Let’s get back the songs in our hearts  and sweetly worship our Savior.

We try to solve our problems but often fall short. Why? The psalmist wrote that “any help men might offer is futile.” Only God can help us—from finances to family, we can only prosper with His assistance! Let’s be humble today and realize that we are helpless without our God.

We teach children the importance of kindness. At what point do we adults forget it? The worst thing we can do is have malice and hatred to those who have never wronged us. As Christians, we are commanded to be kind to everyone—that’s a pretty special quality. The God who loves us infinitely will help us love others if we allow Him to!

Think of all the discord between races, religions, economic statuses, and political sides. All those people aren’t our enemies! Just because we disagree with others doesn’t mean we are allowed to hate them or pray for their downfall. As believers under the new covenant, we are called to love people we don’t get along with. Let’s pray for them like Jesus did.
